What Is Linoleum?

Lino 1

Linoleum is a flooring solution with many features and advantages that are often unknown to the general public that has a history dating back to the 19th Century. Following the original 1898 recipe, Tarkett linoleum is made in Italy from 94% natural raw materials (linseed oil, wood and cork flour, resins) and is available across a range of traditional marbled patterns in vivid and deep colours.

Tarkett linoleum is naturally bacteriostatic and does not provide any habitat for bacteria. Independent tests show that Tarkett linoleum naturally has antibacterial properties against the most common germs such as E-coli and MRSA.

Tarkett linoleum coverings, even without flame retardants, achieve the fire class Cfl-s1 (flame retardant). Moreover, Tarkett linoleum is treated with our unique xf²™surface protection for extreme durability, easy cleaning and cost-effective maintenance. Last but not least, Tarkett linoleum is the world’s first to be certified Cradle to Cradle® for its sustainable approach.
